Storyline
Lizzie Borden High’s class of ’72 are going through the motions at their tenth-year reunion, until deranged alum Walter Baylor, driven insane by a sadistic senior-year prank, escapes from the mental institution and crashes the party. When guests start getting bumped off, the other alumni, including snooty yacht salesman Bob Spinnaker, class tease Bunny Packard, and class zero Gary Nash, spring into action to uncover the culprit. Chuck Berry makes an onstage appearance. National Lampoon’s Class Reunion, the 1982 Michael Miller screwball comedy (“From the people who brought you ‘Animal House'”; “No class has less class than this class.”; written by John Hughes; apparently, this was an attempt to cash in on the success of “National Lampoon’s Animal House”, with only Stephen Furst appearing from the earlier movie; in spite of a script by John Hughes and the National Lampoon name, the movie was a bomb, and no one remembers it, likely because it really stinks!) starring Gerrit Graham, Fred McCarren, Miriam Fylnn, Stephen Furst (best remembered as Flounder in “Animal House”, and for his role as Elliott in TV’s “St. Elsewhere”), Michael Lerner, Chuck Berry, Misty Rowe, Blackie Dammett, and Yvonne De Carlo (romantic leading lady who starred in nearly one hundred movies in the 1940s and 1950s; oddly, she will forever be best remembered as Lily Munster in TV’s “The Munsters”!)
